Bio

Byul Yoon is a Skadden Fellow at the ACLU Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project where she focuses on defending First Amendment rights to protest and association. She is a recent graduate of NYU Law, where she was a Root-Tilden-Kern Public Interest Scholar. At NYU, Byul worked on human rights and First Amendment cases with the Constitutional Litigation Clinic and the Civil Rights and Racial Justice Clinic. She also interned with the Federal Defenders of New York and the Center for Constitutional Rights and served as a staff editor with the NYU Review of Law and Social Change. Prior to law school, Byul was a grassroots organizer and social movement strategist for over a decade, training thousands of activists and launching dozens of campaigns across the country for workers’ rights, racial justice, and divestment from war and militarism.
