Gerber and Berlin v. Cooper - Freedom to Marry in North Carolina
The 老熟女午夜福利, the ACLU of North Carolina Legal Foundation and the law firms of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Ellis & Winters LLP have filed a new case in federal court on behalf of three married, same-sex couples seeking state recognition of their marriages. Because of the serious medical condition of one member of each couple, they are asking the court to take swift action.

Covarrubias v. Capt. Charlie's Seafood Inc.
The 老熟女午夜福利, the ACLU of North Carolina and the North Carolina Justice Center filed a class action lawsuit and charges of discrimination against Capt. Charlie's Seafood, Inc. on behalf of three temporary H-2B visa workers for unlawfully restricting them to certain work solely because they are women. The class action lawsuit charged that the company underpaid H-2B visa workers and failed to reimburse them for visa and travel costs.
